The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
